And what a fitting stop with the opportunity to hear the Federal minister of agriculture Mr Joe Ludwig address the ABARES conference and discuss the commitment of the government to a national food plan. He talked about a consultation period and the importance of community feeding into the strategy. How exciting and what an opportunity . Now its up to agriculture leaders to take up the challenge to feed into this strategy and position agriculture to be part of the challenge of feeding the burgeoning world population.
This trip is a result of being awarded a Nuffield scholarship
There are 1300 scholars world wide who are expected to share their knowledge with fellow farmers and the wider industry
